Follow these 8 steps to connect Cliniko to Continua.
Log into your Cliniko account and click "My Info" under your name in the bottom-left sidebar.
Under the API keys section, flip the switch that says "Allow yourself to create and use API keys" to Yes. Then press "Update user" at the bottom of the page. Cliniko will ask you to verify your identity with your password or passkey.
Make sure the toggle is set to Yes. Otherwise, you will not be able to create an API key.
Once verified, the page will refresh. Under API keys, click "Manage API keys".
You will be brought to the API Keys page. From here, click "+ Add an API key".
Add a unique name for your API key. We recommend naming it after the application you are generating it for. Then click "Create API key".
You will now see a long string of letters and numbers. This is your API key. Copy it now, as it will not be shown again.
Only share your API key with trusted software vendors. If you lose it, you will need to generate a new one.
Now switch to Continua
You have your API key from Cliniko. Time to connect it in Continua.
In Continua, go to Settings then PMS Integration and click "Connect your PMS". Paste your Cliniko API key when prompted.
Once connected, you will see the green "Connected" status with your last sync timestamp. Patient data begins syncing automatically.
